they are too expensive to be my favourite brand
It really depends on the designer: some design houses use only the best material and give you excellent design for your money. Others, you’re simply paying for the name. Good material such as eelskin, alligator, croc, certain leathers are shoes that will last you a lifetime (or until you get sick of seeing them) and are well worth the $$$ you pay. Shoes made from pvc, cheap leather and canvas will not last very long. You just have to be careful and pay attention to what you’re paying for.
As far as brands are concerned, my favorite brands are: Nine West, Jimmy Choo (though I can’t afford them, LOL), Taryn Rose and Isabella Fiore.
The shoes are expensive due mainly to the NAME, but of course the work is much better done and in MANY designer cases, they are hand done as opposed to a machine.
I wear COACH shoes and i LOVE them!

i dont have as many as paris hilton does, but they are super cute, really fashionable and great shoes………even though the price tag is pretty hefty!
They start out with exceptional craftmanship, materials and overall quality. Also, these brands might have had help to jumpstart their marketing to convince people they are the best. Some brands came out as innovative or original for that year…think of those with the air pump! Also, some brands are owned by a company which could help them out as well. For example, LVMH Group ownes Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan and several others (see the link below).
My favorite brands for shoes and purses are: Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Tods, Coach, Manolo Blahnik and JImmy Choo.
The ones that I can afford and love are: Liz Claiborne, Kenneth Cole and Kors by Michael Kors.
Designer shoes are expensive because they are higher quality and definitely feel better. Plus, it gives you more confidence. Designer bags are expensive for the same reason, plus they look better.
My personal favorite bags include
-Kate Spade, great totes and hobos that are totally simplistic, I absoulutely adore my little green bag
-Dolce and Gabbana, great little evening bags in black
-Prada, totally creative with colors and large totes, and definitely not afraid to experiment with materials
Some favorite shoes include
-Coach, great flats and cool sneakers, otherwise, the rest is crud
-Prada, classic sneakers in subtle tones and nice heels with splashes of color
-Manolo Blahnik, very cute to look at, nice subtle tones, plus offer nice prints. But personally they may be too high.
Liz Claiborne, Keneth Cole, etc. DO NOT COUNT AS DESIGNER.
Well, these are some of my favorites.
a lot of people buy the name. notice how whenever a celebrity walks down the red carpet and the media is like "shes wearing *insert brand*" then everyone wants to go out and buy it. but also sometimes you get what you paid for. some of the craftsmanship of these shoes are exquisite. though.. you might also be able to buy a pair of shoes from target that last just as long.
but if i had to pick a brand, it would be steve madden. i like it because a lot of the styles suit my tastes. though, if i were to see a similar looking pair for cheaper i would probably buy those instead..

Designer shoes are mostly made by hand and are leather from the sole up. They are more comfortable even for the sexiest style and the highest heel. They make very little noise while walking as opposed to the average shoe which have man made soles that make a loud noise when walking.
um i am not sure if this is designer but converse shoes are great! i love them! they arent very exspensive and they last for AGES!
