they have mixed color as floral print on them

—yeah I would go both gold. Its not old fashioned it’s safe. Things don’t always have to match they have to "go"
in other words I would have to see both to give my opinion on whether they would "go" with it. ask a lot of different people what they think and see what the general consensus is ..or post some pictures?
Either a bronze-y colour, or a gold if you can find it. If the brooch wasn’t in the combination I’d suggest silver if you had a thing for metallics. Either of these colours would enhance the dress if used well. Don’t go overboard, you might end up upstaging the dress.
