Quite correct Jimmy Choo is Malaysian. But some of you guys sshould check your facts because he did NOT start the company. He was a shoe maker. Tamara Mellon started the whole thing and bought his name. Do your research poeple!
Jimmy Choo is just the brand name…. Tamara Mellon spooted his talent whilst working as UK Vogue accessories editor, she had the idea to take his talents and make them into a product/business. Jimmy Choo probably doesnt even design anymore, he is just a brand name.
Its doubtful that without Tamara any Hollywood celebrities would wear asian designs and also because of her there are Jimmy Choo boutiques in Beverly Hills, Paris and many more fashion capitals around the world
Without Tamara Jimmy Choo would not be known by anyone today….
To say Jimmy Choo is just a shoe maker/cobbler is wrong!! he studied design….Tamara was just an editor of a magazine. Tamara isnt the one who made Jimmy choo a famous brand.. so sad though that Jimmy Choo didnt actually fully own the brand…..or maybe he did? Either way he would have made a small fortune im sure!
