They’re not cheaper. It’s more likely that you find cheaper designer clothes in the US at all the outlets that there are and with all the sales there. And things in general will be more expensive for you in Italy now because the dollar is so low compared to the Euro.
But, if you’re in Florence there’s supposed to be an outlet outside the city called The Mall which I hear has good discounts on designer clothes and outside of Rome there’s another outlet called Castel Romano. There’s a bus that goes there from Piazza della Repubblica if you decide to go.
Still, you get much better deals on designer clothes in the States!

not some clothes shops are cheap i’m italian i spend 20e for a pair fo jeans and 16 E for a t- shirt.
But if you buy a moschino’s or a valentino’s clothes is normal, they are expensive i buy a lot of clothes not expensive.
You can go in a outlet or in a little shop for teenagers but in Italy DEKUBA isn’t very expensive but tokidoki is relly expensive!!!
I live in Italy( MIlan) and i’m 14 years old ….ciao!!!

I am Italian and I put tell you that the clothes are expensive here.
Certainly next depends … a Dolce and Gabbana jeans can easily cost from 100 euros (do not know how many dollars are) until 500euros (also in this case I can not tell you how many dollars are) …

Generally the designer clothes are more expensive here than in the US. However, there are two times during the year when there are sales and you can find some prety good bargains – January and July. You just missed the winter sales.

There are some outlets outside Milan and Florence where you might find something at a decent price.

They are significantly more expensive. I would stick with trying to buy things online when there are sales (eg. neiman marcus) or going to the outlets here in the US. My German (and some Italian) friends actually make trips to the US to do black Friday shopping at designer outlets in the US. The prices are that much cheaper.

they are cheaper if you have an american salary.
for a normal italian salary they are VERY EXPENSIVE.
