Lanvin Women's Shoes

Who would have thought that the oldest fashion still in operation in Europe would have started out as simply as a mother making dresses for her daughter? That’s exactly how Lanvin got its start. Jeanne Lanvin sewed beautiful clothing that was admired by quite a few wealthy patrons in the small French area in which they lived. In 1994, half of the stakes in the company was bought by L’Oreal, who helped them gain international fame in the fashion community.

Today the company is under the artistic direction of Alber Elbaz who has recently repackaged their entire line, adding a beautiful forget-me-not flower color to it, Jeanne Lanvin’s favorite.

Lanvin womens Shoes successors include Antonio del Castillo, Dominique Morlotti, Jules-Francois Crahay, Maryll Lanvin, Claude Montana and Patrick Lavoix. Their work has successfully immortalised a very Parisian, elegant couture style.
